The ThirDaYouth

2017 saw the ThirDaYouth continue to meet as a youth zone, thanking especially the Young Adults who have been faithfully a part of our meetings to help model to the younger ones, and serve in worship and in numbers.

Cell Groups (CGs) are centred around the spiritual discipline of reading the word, building a culture of journaling (SOAP) and the intentional living out the word learnt; cultivating transparency and openness as they edify one another in their small groups.

TDY & the Community

The ThirDaYouth spent the last Saturday of the months walking the ground, holding meetings in the community. By so doing, it gave us a sense that God has placed us as a Youth Zone and in a bigger context, the Church in the community for the community. The youth participated in the KidSTART outreaches and the Community Evangelism Ministry initiatives at the CommuniTEA sessions and Christmas at Community. We saw youths stepped up and took leadership, partnering with CEM to see the community won for Christ.

Creative Harvest Effort

Riding on LoveSingapore’s blood donation drive, the TDY invited friends to donate blood. Some of us are doing it for the first time! The experience was rewarding and tied in beautifully with the message of Good Friday. This was followed by a movie screening, “God’s not dead 2” back in Church.

Mission Trip

Although, not exclusively a TDY program, Thailand 2017 was an exciting and eventful trip that witnessed some of our youths having their very first mission experience! fulfilling the call to “Go, Therefore”; more than just intellectually knowing the command, but obeying and going, for God.

Youth camp 2017

Pastor Jason Chua brought a refreshing end to the year. Reaffirming the youths of their identity in a God who loves them, “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalms 139:16. Friends were invited, food was shared and fellowship was warm. Signs of things to come as we move forward into 2018. May the understanding of the faith that is to be shared grow deeper in the hearts of our youths.

We are thankful as a youth leadership for the parents’ partnership with us, in having their trust and support, in prayers and in love. Truly may we see a generation raised to the full potential that Jesus’ has for them.

“Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow. I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and my people will be filled with my bounty,” declares the Lord.  [Jeremiah 31:13-14]
