Games, Teaching and Memory Verses

In 2017, there were not much changes in the programme running of MKC, with games, teaching and memory verses. The main teaching was on the life of Jesus, from birth to resurrection with the theme 'I want to be like Jesus'. 

In every testimony, every story and saying of Jesus, taken from the 4 Gospels, is the character of Jesus to imitate. We saw Dependability, Humility, Worship, Friendship, Serving, Listening, Contentment and much more in the character of Jesus' life on earth. 

The children were challenged to Believe, Behave and Become like Jesus.

Changing Dynamics

At the end of 2017, MKC graduated 4 kids into the teens group. As we congratulate them, we are also now faced with a critical reduced number of 5 children in MKC for 2018. With this small group dynamic, our leaders have decided to combine both the MKC and Kindies groups into one to better utilize teaching and manpower resources.

The teaching curriculum for 2018 will carrying on with 'I want to be like Jesus' with repetitions from last year. The curriculum repetition has been decided mainly because of the current children's age range of 5 to 12 years old. More lesson activities will also be carried out to cater to this wide age group. The older kids will also be tasked more as assistant leaders to engage them during lesson time.

Raising Children Who Pray

Another main focus for this year is that we want to empower each child to pray out loud in MKC, weekly for

Israel, Singapore, Church, and Children (self).

Every child prays out loud for 1 segment, relating to the lesson learnt that week. We aim to build confidence in the children to pray corporately as one body.

For prayer: Words have been released to MKC that we should pray deliberately for an increase in MKC children. With that, MKC urge the church to supplicate with us for an increase in attendance for the coming years. All praise to God!
